Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is an Auto Auction?

Do not confuse the professional dealer's auto auction with the government, surplus, and junk auctions that you may see advertised on TV and in the paper. Virtually every new and used car dealership in the United States buys and sells vehicles through auto auctions. They are modern, well maintained facilities used as an outlet for wholesale vehicles. Eight out of every ten cars you see on a dealership lot was purchased by the dealer this way. Brand new and pre-owned cars and trucks are sold wholesale by factories, rental agencies, lease companies, and finance companies such as:

All vehicles are pre-inspected and a title search is completed before being made available to licensed dealers for purchase.

What if you don't have the vehicle I'm looking for?

If you're looking for a specific vehicle and we don't have it in the inventory Luxury Automotive Group can usually locate it within a few days if there is one that matches your specifications.

What is the source for your inventory?

Our cars and vehicles come from a number of different sources. Vehicles may be purchased at dealer only sales, at off-lease sales, directly from large franchise dealers, from credit unions and banks. The vehicles we retail are usually late model and have good miles plus may still be under a factory warranty. We resell cars with clean titles only, this means we never retail salvage, rebuilt, reconstructed, insurance claim, flood or other gray market vehicles unless specifically noted and passes our strict quality-assurance inspection.

Do you have all titles on hand for your vehicles?

We do not sell any vehicle without first obtaining the title. While most titles are kept on hand, some are still in transit from the state, other dealerships or previous owner which can result in brief delays. We are a licensed and bonded dealer in Florida and guarantee clear titles on all vehicles that we sell. Luxury Automotive Group sells vehicles totaling in the Millions every year--that means the movement of vehicles and titles are a constant at our dealership.

What 'other' fees are there besides the purchase price?

The other fees include taxes, shipping and documentation charges. If you live in Florida, you must pay 6.0% of the sales price of the car as a tax to the state plus in some counties, a county tax usually no more than $50.00. There is a $399.00 vehicle prep fee which includes inspections, detailing the vehicle, checking tires and fluids, filing paperwork and titles, and mailing costs. This fee is fixed on the purchase order and is non-negotiable.

Do you do any financing?

Absolutely! We deal with 18 different banks and credit unions in the Central Florida area -including your bank if you prefer.

If you have questions about credit, feel free to call Rich Thurston at (407) 656-8700 as his experience with car financing is second to none.

I Live out of state, can I fly in and drive my new car back home?

Of course, we can even help you make arrangements at Orlando International Airport and, if you let us know in advance, we can arrange to have the paperwork completed and to have you picked up at the airport. (15 minute drive)

What guarantees do I have on a vehicle purchased from you?

When you purchase a late model vehicle from Luxury Automotive Group, you get the same warranty offered by the fancy franchise dealerships, which by the way, are covered by the factory and not the dealership itself. Extended vehicle service contracts are also available for most cars.
Luxury Automotive Group is licensed and bonded dealer by the state of Florida.

What type of service do you do to the cars before selling them?

All used cars and pre-owned cars are professionally cleaned and detailed before sale. If there are any mechanical issues noted during our inspection, they are addressed before the car is offered for sale.

How do I know the car is in the condition stated?

Luxury Automotive Group prides itself on being experts in the auto business and we have personally inspected thousands of vehicles. We do our best to point out any shortcomings in the cars and trucks prior to any sale so you can make a fully informed car buying decision. You may also request an independent 3rd party inspection of the vehicle. Any car we purchase to offer at our dealership that does not pass our stringent inspection will be sold at auction and never offered to the general public by this orlando used car dealership.

Do You Accept Trade-In cars?
